The Powell Brothers are Country/Americana recording artists from Houston, Texas. The group is fronted by brothers Taylor Powell (lead vocals) and Blake Powell (lead guitar).  The Powell Brothers spent the first half of 2018 promoting their radio single “Coming Home.”  The single enjoyed much success on the charts, spending seven weeks in the Top 20 on both the TRRR and CDX Traction Texas radio charts.  The group’s new single, “Somewhere Down The Road,” released to radio on August 13th and was recognized as the highest debuting single on the chart.  Both singles were produced by Scott Quintana and engineered/mixed by Gena Johnson (Zac Brown Band, Brandi Carlile, Anderson East) and will be featured on “Leave on the Light,” the band’s first full length record coming out in February of 2019.

When asked about The Powell Brothers’ explosive growth and what the future holds, Taylor Powell explained “It all boils down to this; good songs and good people.  We are committed to the craft of songwriting.  Our goal is to make every song and every album better than the last, and to surround ourselves with the best people.”  Blake Powell echoes his brother’s thoughts and added, “Our goal is to deliver recorded music and live performances worthy of the love and support we are so blessed to receive.”

Taylor and Blake have a strong passion for performing live, a fact reflected by the brothers’ busy tour schedule.  The Powell Brothers’ 2018 tour schedule includes over 120 concert dates, with shows in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.  In their home state of Texas, the group regularly performs at legendary live music venues like Gruene Hall, John T. Floore’s Country Store, Hurricane Harry’s, The Rustic, Luckenbach, Texas, Brewster Street Ice House, and The Blue Light Live to name a few.

The Powell Brothers have shared the stage with numerous top national and regional acts, including  ●  Billy Currington  ●  Lee Brice  ●  Josh Turner  ●  Gary Allan  ●  Granger Smith  ●  Aaron Watson  ●  Mark Chesnutt  ●  Pat Green  ●  The Bellamy Brothers  ●  Randy RogersBand  ●  Cody Johnson  ●  Gary P. The band members have many interests outside of music, including sports.  The group decided to combine their passions for music and sports by performing at some of the largest collegiate and professional sporting events in the country.  The Powell Brothers have been featured at the  ●  NHL Draft  ●  Mitsubishi Las Vegas Bowl  ●  Valero Alamo Bowl  ●  AT&T “Red River Showdown”  ●  Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl  ●  Frisco Bowl  ●  “Astros After Party” at Minute Maid Park.  The group has also performed “The Star Spangled Banner” for the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers.

The Powell Brothers have not slowed down in 2018.  In addition to recording their first full length album “Leave on the Light,” the group completed a Summer Tour across ten (10) states that included performances at national music festivals like the Oregon Jamboree (Sweet Home, OR), Way Out West Fest (El Paso, TX), and Oyster Ridge Music Festival (Kemmerer, WY).  The band’s schedule also included some of the largest events in their home state of Texas, like the State Fair of Texas, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, and Rodeo Austin.
