Our Mission Statement: “Bringing more and better Rockin’ Honky Tonk Music to the ones who need it most. Not necessarily the ones who desire it most”.
First CD “Jukebox Music” released Oct. 2008-From deep in The Bayou City comes Mitch Jacobs. Performing live with The Mitch Jacobs Band, or in the studio, Mitch engages you with his deep, spooky, barritone. Wailing with tremelo, and treble from his old guitars. A gumbo of honky-tonk headcutting rock, and serious adult c & w gold the way it used to be. From mysterious musings of haunting hurricanes, backroad motorcycle rides, to carefully written songs of love lost, and found somewhere in the miles and miles of Texas highway, Mitch attempts to transcend his everyday, Houston beerjoint surroundings, and comes about as close as a city slicker can on his first solo project “Jukebox Music”. A 12 song cd produced by Texas Music Hall of Famer Freddie “Steady” Krc (pronounced “kirch”)on the Austin-based indie label SteadyBoy, this disc features guest ear candy from the likes of Lloyd Maines, Cam King, Ted Roddy, Floyd Domino, Layton DePenning, Krc himself, as well as a member of Mitch’s touring band Rex Wherry. “Jukebox Music” is a fine example of how good Texas music can get when all the right players, producer, and performer, are all present.
