About Mason Lively

Alt-Country Singer/songwriter Mason Lively delivered his compelling debut album, “Stronger Ties” on April 6th, 2018. Blending a modern Red Dirt Country sound with traces of Americana and Roots Rock, the record is a well founded collection of songs that resonate and grow with listeners, due to its diverse individuality as an album. With a sound that’s simple yet complex, easy-feeling but gritty and weathered, inspiring yet heartbreaking. It’s no stretch to say that there’s a song for every emotion on Lively’s “Stronger Ties”.

Born in Victoria, Texas, but raised just outside of town in the rural community of Inez, Mason Lively grew up in a country music atmosphere. His appreciation for the genre can be traced back to his childhood. Though he enjoyed and was exposed to many types of music, he would listen to artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Ray Price to name a few. Growing up, while also being influenced by Blues and Classic Rock, Mason started to take interest and study the songwriting of artists from his home state’s music scene like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Hayes Carll, and many more. As a result, when he started playing guitar at age 14, Mason claims that song-writing “sort of snuck up on him” not long after that.

Lively is currently in the studio working on his sophomore record with iconic Texas singer/songwriter Wade Bowen, and acclaimed producer Justin Pollard… It’s safe to say that Mason Lively is going places in Country Music and beyond.
