About Low D’s Jam Band:

LaDarius Ahkaylon Daniels (aka Low D) started playing the saxophone in the Ore City Middle School band and continued all through high-school. He earned one’s on his solo’s through his years at Ore City at U.I.L Contest’s. His sophomore year he transferred to Gilmer during the spring semester and was a part of the Gilmer High School Band but moved back to OC in the fall. He was first introduced to Jazz Band when he played in the Gilmer band and fell in love. Throughout high school he balanced playing varsity football, basketball, track, tennis and band but was still able to make State twice in a sax ensemble.
After graduating from Ore City High School in 2010, from he attended Tyler Junior College for two years majoring in music. He was a part of the Apache Band under the direction of Tom Mensch, and apart of the jazz band under Heather Mensch, and took private lessons under Adam Myers. He played with Mark Mullins and Brad Leali while attending Tyler Junior College. He tried out for the Army National Guard Band and made it but due to knee problems was discharged in September of 2012. Now he is working his way through college again and playing solo and band performances all around East Texas Area. He has also sits in with a lot of bands around the East Texas Area.
His band is called Low D’s Jam Band/Low D and the Isle Of Aves. Between the two groups they play jazz, blues, funk, R&B, contemporary, soul, reggae plus many more types of genres. His solo performances he plays the same type of music his band plays but through backing tracks.
