Artist bio: I started singing in church at 4 or 5 and loved it. I grew up in the Keller area and went to Florence elementary. I still remember singing away in a manger solo in second grade during a play. so many people in that crowd. I moved around about 5 times in the 5th grade when my parents divorced. at this point my life was very crazy and had zero stability. we ended up moving to Kansas because I had some cousins out that way. stayed till 9th grade and moved back to Texas. Went to Northwest high school and made some friends that I still hang out with to this day. I ended up living with my Grandparents when my mom wanted to move again because I could no longer handle the instability. I had a drum kit at the time and I did play drums in middle school. I would beat all my frustrations out on that beautiful pearl kit. I did not know what to do with my life so I joined the army reserve with intentions on going active after high school. I joined in the 11th grade went to basic training and came back to finish my high school year.
After high school I did a lot of different jobs trying to find my way. way more than I care to mention. Found myself in the mortgage business though and that lasted about 9 years. during that nine years I ended up getting called to go to Iraq in 2003. When I got back from Iraq I struggled a lot getting my business built back up. Never was able to and the mortgage industry was declining. Music was how I worked through PTSD and it saved me. Learned how to read tabs when I got back from Iraq and that is when I started playing guitar. Ended up going to bank of america to have a salary as in mortgage brokering I was commission only. I quickly ended up in operations at Bank of america and worked there for 6 years. got laid off and struggled for a while trying to find my way. ended up bartending and got to see all the other musicians doing their thing. I made the decison right there that I was going to put in the effort and do what they were doing. I worked on my music in all of my free time. went to an open mic and got a gig from the first open mic which was very awesome for me. so I got a gig here and there and ket working and playing and things just kept and keep growing. It is a true blessing to be doing what I love and I plan do be playing guitar and singing till I die
