Bio: “I’m Emily Monsen and I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Music has always been a part of me since I was little. I can’t remember a time when music wasn’t a part of who I was. I was always singing around the house or coming up with songs off the top of my head. I would make my family gather around the living room on Thanksgiving or Christmas so I could play “American Idol” and sing for them.

I did talent shows throughout elementary school, won KJ-97’s “Country Kid” contest when I was in 6th grade, and performed at talent shows in high school as well. I loved being on stage. It always felt right when I was up there, like I was in my own element. I graduated from college in May of 2021 with a degree in Marketing from UTSA. However, I felt the universe was pulling me to start my music career. I began doing shows and fell in love with the live music scene here in San Antonio. Everything about pursuing music felt so right to me, and it was a feeling I couldn’t deny or run away from. I have a wide variety of music and artists that I like to perform such as Amy Winehouse, Alanis Morissette, Radiohead, Chris Cornell, Etta James, Stevie Nicks, Adele, Miley Cyrus and so many more in between! I am excited for my journey in the music world and to see my career in music progress!
