About Raphael & IvorY JeaN:
Manifesting a sound that is infused with soulful riffs, a Hammond B3 organ,
tambourines, a brass section and hand-clapping, foot-stomping drumbeats and baselines, Raphael & IvorY JeaN has created their own musical revival guaranteed to stir up the soul and lift your spirits. Raphael Iglehart, band founder and award-winning musician, is a church kid at heart. Both his parents are ordained ministers and his father is a full-time Pentecostal pastor. It’s no wonder why Raphael’s music is saturated with components that mirror his own spiritual experience.
Embracing their original music style they consider #ChurchSoul , Raphael & IvorY JeaN encompasses an irresistible big-band sound that stimulates your musical tastebuds and offers up a soul stirring live performance that will have you lifting your hands for more.
Raphael & IvorY JeaN has been featured on premium television shows such as ABC/WFAA Good Morning Texas and highlighted by publications such as Focus Daily news as the hottest band to watch. Sharing the stage with Grammy-winning artist Erykah Badu, Roy Hargrove, Chante Moore, Brian McKnight, N’Dambi, Jon B, Bobby Brown, Carl Thomas and actor Malcolm Jamal Warner.
Raphael & IvorY JeaN was birthed in Dallas, Texas and has consistently expanded their local recognition by playing historic venues from the Kessler Theatre (500 capacity), The Prophet Bar (300 capacity), and
The Black Academy of Arts & Letters, to large concert venues including Nokia Theater at Grand Prairie.
