About Nautical Nation:

Nautical Nation, brainchild of frontman James “Jake” Asbury, is an Alternative band from deep in the heart of the Texas hill country. James grew up  singing and performing at his family’s music venue, The Lazy Days Canteen. His first years of playing music were in his father’s band “The River Rats”  fueling his fire and love for music early on. Over the next 10 years James had the privilege of sharpening his skills while being groomed by seasoned performers.  Over his 4 year career as an original artist he has shared the stage with many renowned artists including : Grammy Award winners :  Los Lobos, Grupo Fantasma, Los Super Seven, Augie Meyers, and Grammy Lifetime Achievement winner – Flaco Jimenez. As well as, Monte Montgomery (Guitar Player Magazine’s 50 Greatest Players of All-Time), Eric Gales, Savoy Brown, Del Castillo, and Joe King Carasco etc…

In 2017 James Keith finished up work on his debut album , “Dreamboat” . The entirely self written album was recorded at Hidden Creek, Alnico, and Orb Studios in Austin, Texas.  James Keith’s music is described as eclectic . His voice has a particular rawness and charming freshness that lures you in. Later in the year James added his bandmates, The Moondogs (later Nautical Nation) and debuted at  Austin’s famed, Paramount Theatre (SXSW 2017) . They then played at San Antonio’s San Jose MissionFest for the  Fiesta closing concert. The band performed a mini tour of  The UK & France and returned to headline San Marcos TX – Summer In The Park, as well as support dates for Grammy Award winning artists’ Los Lobos, Los TexManiacs, & Rick Trevino.  James’ resume includes performances at the Whisky A Go-Go in L.A,  The Rustic in San Antonio TX,  American Bank Center in Corpus Christi TX  (Caller Times Best of the Best Showcase 2014), San Antonio TX Fiesta’s Missionfest, and many Austin spots such as; Maggie Mae’s, The Paramount Theatre (SXSW 2017), and Stubb’s Waller Creek Ampitheater. His tunes encompass a wide variety of genres including; Alternative, Rock, Americana, chill Indie funk grooves, Roots Rock, and even latin/reggae vibes. He has been featured on tv and radio: Fox 7 Good Morning Austin, CBS Music Monday’s, KFAN Rebel Radio, and Rev FM 94.3 the Rock of Texas. This spring James Keith signed on with Artist Developer Matt Noveskey of Blue October and is currently working on EP, Golden Seas, set for release September 7, 2018 following a month long tour in Europe.

About Blue Apollo:

Blue Apollo is an alternative band based in Dallas, Texas that was originally formed by Luke Nassar, Jeremiah Jensen, and Rodman Steele during their time at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts. The now four-piece band brings together a wide variety of influences from John Mayer to Stevie Wonder, creating new sounds by combining the emotion of a singer-songwriter and the grit of a blues guitarist. With smooth tenor vocals from Nassar and the groove of Steele and Jensen’s rhythm section, the result is somewhere between indie-pop, blues, and soul.

Luke and Jeremiah wrote the first Blue Apollo songs in the summer of 2014 and recorded them as demos at Luke’s family home in Austin, Texas. Luke would sing and play acoustic guitar and Jeremiah would play Cajon (box drum). After a few more years of school, they set out to become a full-fledged band, adding Rodman Steele on bass, and Jean Paul Labastida on lead guitar. Early shows were met with great success as a fan base quickly grew throughout SMU’s campus and beyond. As the band’s sound matures, it takes on many of the bluesy elements of John Mayer, the mellow groove and clean sound of Young the Giant and the danceability of early Maroon 5.

With the release of Blue Apollo’s first studio EP in April 2016, the band triggered some big shows that included opening for Nelly in Moody Coliseum, American Aquarium at Trees Dallas, and Cherub at Rhodes College. The EP was also added to rotation at 67 different CMJ radio stations across the country.

Blue Apollo released two singles, “Bite the Bullet” and “Circles” in the summer of 2017, and is currently working on a new EP, which they will be recording in Nashville in January 2018.
